Delta Central Senatorial District has once again demonstrated its political cohesion and clarity of vision during an enlarged All Progressives Congress (APC) Unity Meeting held at Wetland Hotel, Ughelli North LGA, Delta State. The high-powered gathering was convened to reinforce party unity, chart a strategic path forward, and signal electoral intent ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting was led by the Delta State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, and had in attendance a formidable array of APC leaders, founding stakeholders, federal and state appointees, and party faithful across Delta Central.

Adoption of Sole Candidates for 2027
The highpoint of the meeting was the adoption of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole APC presidential candidate and Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as the sole APC governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The motion was moved by Hon. Revd Francis Ejiroghene Waive, seconded by Hon. Halims Agoda and Hon. Solomon Ahwinahwi, and was unanimously adopted by massive voice vote of all in attendance, reflecting widespread support and total agreement among party stakeholders.
A Call for Unity and Commitment
The leaders and stakeholders also pledged their unwavering commitment to work together in unity, strengthen party structures, and ensure total APC victory at all levels in the 2027 elections. The call for unity, grassroots mobilization, and loyalty to party ideals was echoed across all speeches.
This significant political declaration marks a milestone in Delta APC’s roadmap to 2027, demonstrating a clear direction and alignment with the vision of continued development, progressive leadership, and inclusive governance under the APC banner.
